Sri Krishna Janmastami Festival & Vyasapuja of Srila Prabhupad

Dear Friend of the Ashram,

This coming Sunday is Sri Krishna Janmastami, the Divine Appearance Day of the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna. The program in San Jose starts at 5:30 pm and in Santa Cruz at 6:30 pm, and will culminate in a midnight kirtan in Santa Cruz, followed by an anukalpa feast. The following day there will be a daytime program at 10:30 in Santa Cruz with a big feast in observation of Nandotsav and the Divine Appearance Day of Srila Prabupad, A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Maharaj.

We will also be having our Janmastami in the Park program this Saturday in Sunnyvale at Ponderosa Park from 11 am – 2 pm. We have hosted this event several years in a row now and we hope you can join us this year. Please bring along your friends and family for a lovely day in the park with kirtan, krishna katha, and prasadam.

Srila Bhakti Kusum Ashram Maharaj is keen to do Harinam Sankirtan in Santa Cruz this weekend before he returns to Mexico. Please join us Saturday at 6 pm on Pacific Avenue. We will meet at O’Neill’s surf shop by the Regal Cinema 9. Parking is difficult on beautiful Saturday nights so remember to leave early or carpool.

Srila Bhakti Kusum Ashram Maharaj

A group of devotees from Mexico will be attending our program in Santa Cruz for Srila Govinda Maharaj’s Divine Disappearance day. Srila Ashram Maharaj, Jagannath Swami Prabhu and others are planning to come and may arrive as soon as Saturday. These plans of course are subject to the will of Divine Providence and may change.

Come to the Sunday Feast to have their good association and of course next Wednesday, April 1st for the Divine Disappearance day of Om Vishnupad Srila Bhatki Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj.

Dear Devotees and Friends of the Ashram,

On behalf of Srila Janardan Maharaj in Soquel and Kumkum Devi in San Jose, I humbly invite you to please honor His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj on the sober occasion of his Divine Disappearance. Wednesday after next, on April 1st, the occasion will be observed from 10:30 am until around 2 pm in Santa Cruz and at 5:30 pm in San Jose. I hope you have enough notice to get some time off from work for this holy day.

Srila Bhakti Kusum Ashram Maharaj will be visiting in Santa Cruz starting on March 25th and staying through the celebration, along with visiting devotees from Mexico.

On Sunday, February 1st we celebrated Sri Nityananda Prabhu’s Divine Appearance Day. The festival included lots of kirtan and reading about the divine qualities and pastimes of Lord Nitai from the holy scriptures Sri Chaitanya Bhagavat and Sri Chaitanya Charitamrita. The program was wrapped up with a roaring arotik for Their Lordhips Sri Sri Guru Gauranga Gandharvika Giridhari and a sumptuous pradadam feast.

They are not officially produced and released yet, but I am posting them here anyway because I know that the devotees who recorded them want to help others.
