 Dear devotees and friends of the Ashram,Sri Krishna Janmastami will be celebrated on Monday, August 18th in San Jose and Soquel. Please join our community for festivities throughout the evening culminating in arotik at midnight in Soquel. In San Jose the celebration will end at 9 pm.Monday is a full fast day. After the midnight arotikanukalpa prasadam will be served. The big feast will be the following morning at noon. Please come back Tuesday at 11 am to honor Nandotsav and the divine appearance day of Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Maharaj Prabhupad, who so mercifully introduced the West to Krishna Consciousness.Please come to help with decorations and other preparations if you can. Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to nourish all the fruit trees at the orchard nourishment work party on July 4th and 5th. And a special appreciation for those devotees who came back the second day, including Dinartihara Prabhu who is not shown in the photos below but has been working hard.
Special thanks as well to the cooks who prepared a feast for a couple dozen people including two different kinds of coleslaw, corn of the cob, vegetarian Bhima burgers, ice cream sandwiches, fries, and more!

We have about 100 fruit trees in the Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Seva Ashram orchard.
Including Asian pears, peaches, apples, avocados, figs and 6 different varieties of plums.

Friday, May 30th please join us to honor the anniversary of the day that His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj installed Their Divine Lordships Sri Sri Guru Gauranga Gandharvika Giridhari in Soquel, California. Please join us for this special day to honor their Lordships with Krishna katha, kirtan, and prasadam. The program will start in the evening at 6:30 pm.

Srila Janardan Maharaj reads through Sri Chaitanya Charitamrita from cover to cover, which takes about three months. He is particularly interested in making sure that listeners catch the sequence of the story and lila. He has been reading Sri Chaitanya Charitamrita for decades and clearly has very great appreciation for the scripture. If you cannot attend, consider listening to the recordings in the car or while you cook, etc.. Download them here.

Sripad B.C. Parvat Maharaj reads a chapter of Srimad Bhagavad-gita: the Hidden Treasure of the Sweet Absolute. Bhagavad-gita is an essential scripture and it is very wonderful and nourishing to hear a chapter every day. When Sripad Parvat Maharaj travels Jatindra Mohan Prabhu gives the class.
Tuesday and Thursday at 7:30 pm:
Sarvabhavana Prabhu reads books by Srila Govinda Maharaj and Srila Sridhar Maharaj such as Revealed Truth, Affectionate Guidance, Sermons of the Guardian of Devotion, etc..

Everyone’s invited to come! Any help and extra association would be wonderful! We could use help setting up and taking down (Friday and Sunday) doing kirtan (all days), attending Maharaj’s program (Sunday), and preparing food for the devotees.
UC Davis is approximately 2 1/2 hours drive from Santa Cruz, but give a little extra time for finding it, parking and walking on campus.

Camping is at the KOA in West Sacramento. It’s about 10 miles up I-80 from Davis. If anyone wants to camp can they let me know? I have one spot good for about 4 tents, but if more people want to come I can get a second spot. There’s a pool and hot showers!
